Four Day Weekend!!!

Well, that title is a little deceiving because actually my four day weekend is over today. It was great to have a three day work week last week and then a four day weekend. We had parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday night and then we were off. I had a doctor appt. with Dr. Selznick on Thursday morning because my knee has been so tender to the touch. I thought maybe I had an infection or something but he said that the nerve that was cut, the one that crosses over the top of the knee cap, was what was causing the pain and that when I'm a little more post-op he can shoot some cortisone in there to relief it. In the meantime he gave me some cream to put on it and told me to take my pain pills. That's all they ever tell me!

We went to Utah after my doctor appt. to visit Adam, Brittany and Andie. We had a great visit and Andie warmed up to us rather quickly this time. We took them out to Olive Garden on Thursday night and then spent Friday with Brittany and Andie at Cabela's while Adam worked. We had such a great time visiting and Andie was a doll. I miss that little girl and can't wait til the next time we get to see her. She is such a sweetie!

Bob made enchiladas for supper and then we all settled in to watch the BYU game on TV. It was a pretty boring game and since we were planning on leaving afterwards to go to Payson to Bob's folks, we left just into the third quarter. We got there around midnight but they were still up waiting. We sat up and visited for about an hour and then went to bed. We all slept in and I got up just in time to hit the shower before conference started.

It was a great conference. I guess they are all great but the theme this time seemed to be set around love and loving those who have gone astray or are in need of help. It just really touched me. The prophet's addresses were especially touching, he is such a great man.

It rained all day today in Utah and all the way home. It's cold tonight but hopefully we won't get any snow quite yet. I know it's inevitable and it sure feels like snow out there but we'll hope it stays away for a little while yet. Amy said that it's supposed to snow up to two inches tonight so we'll just have to wait and see. I'm off to bed, I have to be up early in the morning for school. Oh yeah!
